What does the "Group as a Model" mean?
The psychotherapy group is a model of the natural groups like family, friends, coworkers. People tend to behave similarly in those groups, according to their "usual roles"; for example the reserved, the teaser, the peace maker and so on. Therefore playing your usual role in the environment where the main focus is on behavior can be very instructive.
